Does Hdi 90 hp Engine have a particle filter? 5w 40 Oil OK to use?

Hello

I have been using 10w40 Semi synthetic oil in my 406 Hdi 90 hp for years. I have recently been looking at 5w 40 synthetic oil ( Comma X-Flow) currently around £18 for 5 litres on GSF website. (with current 20% discount).

I noticed the original Peugeot maintenance record book that came with the car states "Use only 5w 40 oil for Hdi Engines equipped with particle filter".

Can anyone confirm the Hdi 90 hp engine has a particle filter and 5w 40 oil is OK to use?

Minimum spec oil for diesel in book states ACEA B3. The Comma 5w 40 oil is ACEA B4 so that is a higher grade oil & OK to use in this 90hp engine?
