Removing the EGR system altogether - few questions!

I don't have a 110 so can't say for certain, but your best bet is probably to get an equivalent hose from a car that doesn't have the heat exchanger.
(2.2's had a similar heat exchanger from launch until late 2002, but the later car's didn't - it may well be the same for your car).

Just out of interest, will it pass a UK mot with the EGR removed completely? From what I remember my MOT tester didn't spend much time poking around under the bonnet, assuming he was checking important things like brakes and the like

I assume if it passes emissions without an engine check light It's good to go? Might leave the leaky old piece of ballast in just to be sure...

Just fit thin plates at each end and no-one is non the wiser - all my 406s have passed MOT, both with the EGR gone but the pipe work in place

I agree there's no issue with the MOT, it just has to pass the smoke test, (which any HDi seems to sail through).

I went for the unmodified look just in case testers become anal about it at some point, (but I suspect you could literally drive a bus through this one).
