Hi
Problem with car not starting.
On turning the key without turning over, I hear a sort of whining / wooshing sound that gets to a certain pitch and then goes away. A different sound than normal basically when turning the key without turning over. Starter motor going OK. Battery recently checked and is OK.
Could this be a fuel pump / injector issue?

NB: Car is a 2.2hdi.

In tank fuel pump primes the system before starting, does it last for about 10sec then stop?

Roughly about 8 secs. Noise, a sort of buzzing / clicking sound, is coming from engine bay fuse box on passenger side of the car. Fan was also going on and off during that time frame.Uberderv wrote:In tank fuel pump primes the system before starting, does it last for about 10sec then stop?
