MAF replaced

Post by Busman »

Just posting this to help others.

Since i've got my latest 406, a 52 plate HDI110 estate, it's not been running right power wise. Some times it goes well, other times a big lack of power. But it always runs nice and smooth, no roughness or anything.
After some good sessions using the search box here, I suspected the MAF to be the culprit. So, full of my new found knowledge, I purchased one from ebay, from infinity motor spares. Just type in 406 maf and they're top of the list. £37 delivered first class. All their stuff comes with 12 months warrenty and unlimited mileage. They also have a 99.7 aproval rating.
And did it work? Wow, it certainly did. It's like a new car. If you told me it had had an engine remap I would believe you. The difference is amazing. Lots of power, more torque and the MPG is better to.
And it only takes 10 mins to fit.
