Any further progress on the quest for 6speed transplant?

I keep looking for C5 2,2 HDI 6speed 2001 -2003 on ebay but still not seen one.

Is that what you say is totally different?
Under the speedo blank cover is there gear teeth to drive the speedo, or did they delete teh machining?

My 5 speed synchomech on 3 and 4 is failing and I want to change the box. Would be really cool if I can drop in a 6speed.

Hi, you'll need a 6 speed ML6T (if yours is a ML5T) from the same engine, which is code 4HX. This means getting it either from a 607 2.2HDi 136 or a C5 2.2HDi 136. I do not think any other gearbox will fit without major modifications.
