Hi
Read a lot of threads about electrical problems on this forum, unfortunatelly my car is a 206 hdi.
The car is a 206 2.0 hdi 90hp manufactured 2001-10 with vin VF32ARHYF42016033 LHD
The engine fail lamp is on and also the "stop" by the tachometer, i also get antipollution fault in the boardcomputer.
Read dtc with peugeot planet and there were a lot of codes that come back direct after they have been erased.
Most of the code says that there is no contact with some sensors and one of the sensor is the acelerator position sensor.
The problem with the car is that it starts and runs fine, but when i hit the gas pedal it wont rev just stays on idle.
I have measured the pin 3 and earth with multimeter and the value should be 5v, but the multimeter shows 10-12v on mine.
Terminal 1&4 acc pedal released should be 0.5 mine gives 0,9-1v
Terminal 1&4 acc pedal depressed should be 3.5v mine gives 6-7v
Terminal 2&4 acc pedal released should be 0.2 mine gives 0.35-0.4v
Terminal 2&4 acc pedal depressed should be 2v mine gives about 4v
As you can see, the values are almost the double.
I have switched app sensor but still the same, what could be the problem???
Regards

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

but thats what it was,
that was changed and it run right,
Aparantly if the brake light switch is faulty the e.c .u cuts the fuel
Re: 2.0 90hp hdi wont rev, faulty ecu?
I had a polo once that the same kinda fault. When brakes depressed it sends signal to stop input of fuel.
Either that or the pot on the throttle sensor?
