Post by sockpuppet »

Hi there

Got the antipollution fault warning, car wont rev past 2500rpm

this happened the other day and my mechanic mate said just sit and rev it til it clears the pipe. within minutes that had worked and all was well. however today the same thing happened again and it now wont budge

Unfortunately Engine anti-pollution system defective can mean almost anything. You need to get the fault code read to be more specific.

Last time I had it my mechanic read the fault code which identified the throttle potentiometer. He squirted some electrical grease onto it and cleared the code, and it been fine since (he didn't charge me).
