Timing belt interval 1.9td

Hi all does anyone know what the timing belt interval is on these early diesel engines thanks matt

Pug says 72,000 miles/5 years, or 54,000/5 years for lots of short journeys. Change it now if you don't know the history...

ye 72k miles , not sure about 5 years i didnt know that thought it was 7 or so

i agree with ste change it now if you dont know the history

its essential its done before or on time on XUD engines - leave it a few k over and you will be sorry 8)

Change the water pump at the same time as the timing belt and tensioners. You need to take the timing belt off to do it anyway, and it's such a cheap and important part that it's almost rude not to do it while you're down there.
