Slight vibration from the steering wheel

As per the title, this happens pretty much all the time whilst driving. A small, but definitely noticeable vibration in the steering wheel.

Is it something to worry about, a sign of impending doom, or no biggie?

could be a number of things, but I am having a mind block at the moment, being first day of the school summer holidays and all

Quite possibly something as simple as your wheel balancing.
