Coolant Loss and Thermostat
Hi all, I know there have been quite a few threads on this but I'm rather new to cars so could do with some help. My 406 loses coolant gradually, needs topping up every 1-2 months. I've searched and found this could be the bottom rad hose or the thermostat housing. Attached is a picture of the botto...

Re: HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!
Cool, no problem. Let me know how much you're after if they're in alright condition. Did you manage to find a radio power button and a temp sensor? Also if you could give me a price for the wiper stalk with the trip computer "switch function" button, that'd be excellent. I hate to ask, but how much ...

Re: trip computer installation
EMy connector (on HDI engine) have a small T10 screw on the one end. After removing it, and one cap on top of all wires which was held with pig tail, then I pulled this yellow part of the connector with the wires in it from the covering part (with the locking metal clip). I don't know what type of ...

Re: HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!
I'd rather sell the whole mirror assembly instead of just the sensor, however I'm pretty sure I've got a sensor kicking around somewhere so I'll see if I can locate that. If I can find the sensor, I'll do that and the MFD for £25. My deal with the MFD has fallen through so I'll take it and the temp...

Re: trip computer installation
Hi I just asked a friend who made it on two 2.1TD. He said that on one of them there was no wire from the ECU but the other one had it terminated somewhere under the steering wheel. So just take a look at the wires coming out of the ECU. If there is something going out from pin 23, then you can sea...

Re: HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!
I think I may have a spare power button, so I'll see what I can find. Which actuator are you on about? The climate control worked perfectly when I had the car on the road, so I see no reason why anything should be broken now. Ah if yours has climate control then don't worry, I'm sure the actuator i...

Re: HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!
The headunit that was in it has been painted in Cossack Grey to match the rest of the dash trim, plus I think it was different to the one in the pic you gave as it didn't have a built in display, it used the MFD. I'd rather sell the whole mirror assembly instead of just the sensor, however I'm pret...

Re: Instrument Panel Change
Though to be honest I might be able to get hold of the sender... is it easy to fit? Is the rest of the loom in place?

Instrument Panel Change
Hi all, If I fit the 5 gauge instrument panel from a D8 GLX to my 2.1TD D8 LX (which has a 4 gauge panel), will the oil gauge just work? Or does it require additional wiring not present in my car? Could someone with servicebox perhaps see whether my car has the oil level sensor fitted please? Cheers.

Couple of bits I'm after: 1) What head unit does this have in it? Is it this one: http://imgur.com/3LYHM 2) After the MFD and passenger wing mirror ambient temperature sensor. 3) Nearside rear door moulding. 4) Instrument panel. (Related: was the oil level sensor originally fitted to your car, or di...

D8 Radio Power Button
Hi all,
Looking for a power on/off button for my radio/head unit. I managed to suck the original off when vacuuming!
It's this radio: http://i.imgur.com/3LYHM.jpg
Anyone got one they're willing to sell on?

Re: trip computer installation
In Bulgarian Peugeot forum we also have some 406 2.1TD with already activated trip computer :cheesy: They used pin 23 on EPIC DIESEL ECU. Anyone got any more information on retrofitting the MFD to a 2.1TD? Does lead 1368 exist? And where does it terminate on non-t/c models? (Mine's an LX). Cheers!
