Re: Muggins made a booboo

Just to add to Peter's advice... 35mm socket for the front hub nut and you'll probably have to drop the car back on the ground so that the weight is on the wheel before you'll have any chance of getting that nut off. I use an axle stand positioned to support the tool, then all your effort (and you'l...

Re: noisy central locking

Does your car have 'Total Closure'? ie...you deadlock it and any windows that are open will automatically close.
Perhaps the teeth on the regulator in the driver's door are knackered and it's that noise you hear when locking as the motor tries to close the glass.

Re: 3.0L V6 knocking noise

Is this the 194bhp or 210bhp version? The 210 is very prone to top end tapping (not loud knocking though) on start up. Mine's done it ever since I had it back in Mar 2007. A quick blip on the throttle chases it away though and it doesn't return till next start up. My last oil change was done using T...

No. You can just replace the switch block on the back of it so you retain the use of your original keys.

They don't always take that long mate. Mine came 10 days after I'd ordered it, which I thought was pretty good considering it was sharing the boat with a load of bananas.... :cheesy:...came with full tracking on the parcel too.(once it got to Leipzig Airport!)

Might be an idea to state wherever you advertise it, that it's the 3 control linkage version and not the 2 link type.Image

Re: steering vibration over 80

Could well be the driveshafts. Someone on the Coupe forum was experiencing a vibration under acceleration and a little left lock. It didn't make itself known at all speeds though. I had a look and could see nothing wrong. Both his driveshafts were replaced only 6 months earlier and struts and drop l...

Re: Location of intake to air recycle in cabin

Yup, it has a hinged flap on it that only lets air out, not in.
For years, I wondered what the 'click' was that could be heard from the boot area when a door was shut....it was the flap opening and closing.

Re: Location of intake to air recycle in cabin

I have that too, but I thought it was more of a pressure equalisation thing....to prevent the other windows trying to pop themselves outwards when a door is slammed!

Re: Speedo fault.

Anyone else with Sedre wondering why it shows 6 different versions of the speed sensor for different engines If we're looking at the same diagram, that's not the gearbox sensor, but the crank sensor. It's showing the same sensor six times, (although one appears to have a shielded 3 wire connection....

Re: Sat Nav / MFD Display

In my case, it was more of a preventative measure. I had a brand new screen fitted by the dealer I bought my car from in 2007 as the original had a crack right across it. So I'm more fortunate than others who have slightly older screens to deal with. I'm of the belief that cooler electronics are bet...

Look at the first pic above Steve, there are holes everywhere!

I believe extraction to be a better method of moving the air in there. Don't ask me for an explanation....I don't have one. :cheesy:

WAY to modest, you are. I think your 'power from pcb 'method an excellent idea too.
