That's a great pic Ian!
Not sure what you're meant to do with it once it's up there though.....s'pose you could get under there and look up in awe at the exhaust or polish your brake lines......

This one's just appeared on EBay, but as you can see, it already shows some failing pixels.

Re: Costs To Put a V6 Right!
Additional labour and fuel costs for a Coupe club member to do most of the work circa £500 (NOT INCLUDING ALL THE BEER HE DRANK lol), to be fair is did involve two trips to Scotland. Stop whingin' man. :cheesy: You know it was worth it! (and I got to sample the sublime South Indian Garlic Chilli Ch...

Re: Changed and made it colourful :-)
Lines across the mfd is a common problem with the screen as it ages. It's a fault with the way the flat ribbon cable attaches to the glass conductive area. Some attempts to repair the ribbon cable have been tried, some with short term success, some with complete disaster. As far as I'm aware, they'r...

Yes, I think that's it. "Survitesse" = 'Overspeed'.

Due to the fact that the copious amounts of screen wash that they dish out is inversely proportional to their effectiveness...I pulled the pump relay out. My screen wash bottle seems to last forever now,

Re: Removing a door from a pug 406 Coupe
Only changed one door on a Coupe and found that the wiring has to stay car side! Couldn't find any sort of connector hidden in the A pillar (or anywhere else) that would allow the door to come off complete with it's loom. Seems an odd way to assemble a door though. That's a pain as it means you have...

Re: Just filled up but still on empty!
Had a slightly similar thing happen to mine recently. I took the car over to Holland and on the day of my return went to the filling station to put some fuel in. Not a fill up, I hasten to add, just about 20 Euros or so. The gauge didn't register this and the mfd 'miles remaining' figure didn't incr...

Re: The laziest car features
I really don't like the idea of automatic hand brakes, imagine travelling down the motorway and the ecu throws it's dummy and tells the hand brake you're stationary! I'm sure there will be safeguards but why take the chance?? Agree totally, but unfortunately, we're all there already due to the ridi...

Re: 406 COUPE DRIVERS WINDOW WON'T SHUT COMPLETELY
They might well be right. (about the fault, not the stupid price you've been quoted). If you're reasonably handy with tools, this can be sorted relatively easily. Get a used, but good regulator from Adrian Bingham who is a trusted source of used parts.....he goes by the name of 'ade1122' over on the...

This sounds suspiciously like the 'water in driver's foot well' problem putting in an appearance.
Lift the carpet right back and inspect the connectors there for damage.
