Because Peugeot? No idea, that's a new one on me but if it's working then it's probably best not to question it
I see you have a real Valeo key, may I ask how much it was?

Re: Early 406
Hello young feller! *waives* That's a nice looking early example, good interior too for a stripper. ISTR getting a nice shove in the back from 2.5k upwards in the 2.1td (better than the 2.0 HDi's here we go, any second now.. oh). It's a shame about the later Pugs, a right disappointment. I was wonde...

Re: How to determine the correct part if there is Since/Until OPR?
Your number is 9437 - the 89 on the end refers to the factory where the car was produced ( I had forgotten that bit, sorry.. ) 89 is Sochaux, most saloons & estates seem to have been born there. The age thing used to mean second-line spares (i.e. cheap crap) but this seems to be a recon part - if t...

Teves and ATE seem to be the same thing: ATE, originally Alfred Teves Automobiltechnisches Material und Zubehörteile, a manufacturer of automotive components, now part of Continental AG I can't stick your vin in service box ( spit ) to pull up your build code any more but, judging by my small vin co...

Lordy, that's a horrible bit of damage on the roof I can't imagine how it would have rusted out there, on the edge yes, but away from it? Looks like the original repair was done by foot too It's looking far better now though, nicely done!

Oh, very well done sir!
I'd be interested in seeing that, if you have the time and the will then yes please, but I'm prepared to accept the auto is the unpopular option

Re: D8 V6 clutch release bearing - how to - special tool?
I was going to post that but mjb doesn't even mention it :( I guess he didn't have any problems. Haynes says buy or make special tool (ok it's for the 2.1td but it also uses the ML5T) and the only other mention I've managed to find on this here board is someone having issues until they realised the ...
