Re: My first 17" rims on my Bluish

Just bought myself some Challenger wheels from a 307 for my estate. They fit on the back, although look silly as they are quite tucked in the arch, but the fronts just touch the caliper. Hopefully a set of 10mm spacers will sort it. Pictures to follow. Starfish alloys will be back on eBay soon.... ...

Re: 6-Speed Gearbox

Where Diesel cars hit a bit of a 'wall' at higher speeds the Eastbourne's brake horse power comes into play and it keeps pushing on................and gives you 24mpg to say thanks :frown: Whether the top speed's 140 or 150-odd doesn't seem terribly important in the overall scheme of things. :supaf...

Re: To break, or not to break. That is the question.

Keep the 406, and tell the missus to keep the Dturbo. We have a 406 and a 306 and both are excellent, cheap to run and generally good for MOTs. I don't like Scenics, 11 of the 13 cars I have seen broken down recently have been Scenics, around 1999 to 2002, not sure why? Better the devil you know, e...

Re: So i bought PP2000/Lexia

I can run the Diagbox on windows 7 64 bit, but it will only read my 407, nothing else. After several failed attempts at trying to get the software to load on windows 7 virtual 32 bit by my son we have decided to use xp on a seperate laptop. Fortunately for me my son went to visit friends nearby who...

Re: An entirely unremarkable 406

T.B .H I don't know how long they will last, but my experiance of cheep systems is they rot where the silencer is welded to the pipe work, so with these we should'nt have that prob :cheesy: . I don't know why they are listed as cat repair pipes, but the first one look's like the one I have looked at...

Re: An entirely unremarkable 406

Well indeed. Spotted by bluejohn on the coupe forum: http://hanlonblog.dailymail.co.uk/2011/08/why-i-dont-want-a-new-car.html The late, great James Hunt used to drive around in an old Austin A35 van. No power at all, but that was the point, he said. He drove the thing on the limit, all the time, ri...

Re: new pp2000 owner questions plz

My guess is that you have a sh*t clone interface like 90% of sellers of ebay sell. My auto eletrician as a clone interface dated back from 2009 or 2008 can't remember and it can't communicate with my 406 and my brother in law 406 same year and even same ECU, i did have problems with communication w...
