Hi For power steering fluid, the cars manual has 'Total Fluide AT42' as the recommended power steering fluid. This doesn't seem to be available now. The 'Total Fluide AT42' is listed as being GM Dexron III. Would the following be an equivalent to use to the Total power steering fluid? Castrol 184806...

Getting the vibration / slight judder turning left round corners at about 10-15mph, also feels like something rubbing occasionally.

Will get the tyres checked out, treads are OK.

Could this be a tyre balance issue or maybe a wheel bearing?

Changed the swirl flap diaghpram and that improved things a bit in terms of no smoke. Still getting flat spots. One other part I am looking at that may be the issue is part no. 1920.GH - intake manifold pressure sensor. Is it worth changing that?

Interesting what you say there about cold air getting to the engine as at 60mph plus (colder air being presented to the engine) there are no flat spots, but at lower speeds there is.

Smoke test on the vacuum system turned out fine. Garage did some further diagnostics and noted a wiring issue near the turbo / wastegate. Garage is going to do a smoke test to check for boost leaks.

Indeed, this engine has the most torque of all the engines used in the 406 - 314 N⋅m (232 lb⋅ft) / 2000rpm.

Now getting a boost solenoid fitted - is that one of those that is on the bulkhead? This is a different part to the electrovalve 1628.LQ just fitted.

Connections checked to new electrovalve (1628LQ) and OK. Still getting the flat spots on acceleration.

Could a faulty unit be causing this? I wasn't getting this happening with the old one fitted.
