Due to the lack of 406's at a sensible price I've bought a c220 cdi estate, very similar to the 406 in simplicity, no DPF or DMF goes well and returns better mpg than the 406 and it has a timing chain. Before you delete me we still have a 406, the wife's car - and mine a lot...

I probably wouldn't. For emissions, I generally put some cleaner, Cataclean, Millers.. there's an infinity of these things..., into a full tank a week or so before the MOT.
