I am still trying to sell it
But it is even hard to identify exact type/model.
For that reason I am not sure how many modifications of fuel pump exist. And on the final there is paid ServiceBox.

Re: Ignition fault
I'm still not sure why there'd be any difference to the pump, maybe the 2.0's would be different but anything else I don't know. Maybe you can see some useful code on it once you take the cover off. Recently I had to fix the alternator. I was sure that alternator has to be the same for all HDI 2.2 ...

Re: Ignition fault
Yes, the paid access to ServiceBox is very bad. I don't know why they do this - PSA has to sell spare parts and cars, not to expect profit from such information.

Re: Ignition fault
PS: Are there different pumps in fuel tank for HDI 2.2 (last facelift, 2004) or they are the same? I can find new or second hand but it is good to do it without first removing current pump.

Re: Ignition fault
It is HDI 133hp. Is it easily accessible for replacement? I guess somewhere under back seats. Is there separate fuse for the pump to check it?

Ignition fault
The starter is working normally but engine can't run (HDI). There is no error for immobilizer or other text on display. What can be the reason? Fuel pump not working or broken fuse? Can I check whether fuel is coming or other test before moving to service?

Re: Hеad-lights remain on
I plan to upgrade the 406 probably to the end of year but cannot decide the model of next car. Probably Toyota Avensis. Sorry for off-topic but C5 was one of potential choices.

Re: Hеad-lights remain on
What is the impression of the C5 compared to 406? Are there common problems like broken front spring (with tyre damage) in 406?

Re: Hеad-lights remain on
PS: Good surprise - it seems it has been 'follow me home' extra. I didn't know that I have it.

Re: Hеad-lights remain on
AFAIK for my 406 'follow me home' is not activated. I will test is now - it will be good if the unknown extra (for me) is the reason.

Hеad-lights remain on
Hi. Today I had strange problem. When stopped the engine and come out I found that head lights are still on. The switch was OFF. I switched quickly on/off without effect. Then switched again and lights become off. I guess first attempt was too fast. There was no lighting on dashboard and no warning ...

RC lock/unlock
Hi. It seems RC lock is not working when engine is working. I guess it is for security reasons (assumes alarm/immobilizer is on when locked). Is it possible to allow RC lock? I want to lock the car while waiting to warm up in snow days. The keyhole may freeze and I don't want to use the key.

Re: Alternator code
I have one, refurbished and ready for use. I plan to offer it in internet but don't know how to define its specs or compatible models. It is dismounted from 406 Estate 2.2 HDI and guess it can be used in many Peugeot/Citroen models. I bought it second hand for my 406 but it turned out that my altern...

Alternator code
Can somebody tell me the OEM code of alternator of 406 Estate 2.2 HDI (facelift)? I know there are at least 2 modifications (Valeo and Bosch which are incompatible). ServiceBox was very useful for such tasks when it had free access.
