That is a real scam, it is literally nothing but a spinny thing that sits in the intake and spins from the airflow. There's nothing driving it, no belt or turbine in the exhaust.
It is literally a child's toy.

Re: Spotted: Unusual feature of an Insignia Estate
Typical German over-engineering solution to a basic problem. Looking an Insignia estate with the hatch closed, there is absolutely no reason why most of the lights couldn't be on the body instead of on the hatch. But someone insisted on having a hatch that looks like bow of a car ferry when open, so...

Re: Peugeot 508
Only the "normal" 508s have MacPherson struts in the front. The posh GT model gets double wishbones. Probably the RXH as well.jasper5 wrote:I was quite surprised to find that the front suspension has gone back to Macpherson struts and conventional ball joints/lower wishbones....

Re: Winters off, summers on.
In the UK we're 'allowed' to run tyres down to 1.6mm. Imagine your average motorist rounding a long, wet, bend too fast which tightens quickly with worn rear tyres; as soon as they lift off the gas the rear will go light and could oversteer.....left alone or not corrected properly the car will spin...

Re: Winters off, summers on.
My thoughts on tyre rotation are that I'd rather leave the rears where they are and wear the fronts out, this way you'll only have 2 x tyres to buy mostly and the rears will be ok. The risk is that at some point you will have 4 x worn tyres on the car. Yes, but you'll have significantly older tyres...

Re: Winters off, summers on.
Last Thursday I parted with yet another £68.00 and had the Summers put back on. What a transformation in the handling/feel! I'm wondering if the Winters have gone all weird, there's plenty of tread on them but they're really 'squirmy' on the road. I've had the same experience, changing over last we...

Re: anyone tried this
I've done the heat gun trick on my 406, and it definitely works for a while, until the plastic sustains enough UV damage to fade again. It's actually quite easy to do, as you can see it working and turning the plastic black again. With good lighting, progress is very obvious. You just have to watch ...

Re: Top Gear is finally making a history of Peugeot episode
I'd like to remind everyone that in the 10th episode of series 4, Richard Hammond tested a 407 as a pace car and found that it handled brilliantly, but could do with a bit more power. He also threw in the obligatory jabs at French reliability etc. And in the studio segment, they actually praised its...

Yes, be glad you have the black leather and not the dark blue. It's just light enough that a black treatment looks out of place.

I've used similar products from this company, also with good results:

You can call them or e-mail a picture of the damage etc., and they can advise on the best course of action.

Well, it probably still had afterwards. They only really wrecked the rear bumper.peugeot30v6 wrote:The D9 looked like it still had some good bits left on it[emoji1]

Leave it on. You can always bleep it out or cut it completely, but it's impossible to add back sound that could be accident-related.

(I dont understand the bad drivers in peugeot that top gear has made reference to a few times in the past,) they've got nowt better to do,a car is just a car to them, ££s theres only james that gives a realist'ic opinion of cars. Jeremy has remarked many times that he finds it extremely funny that ...

Re: What do you all think of this video real or fake
There could be a number of reasons. Water conservation laws, waste water regulations, that sort of thing. And that's before you get into the insane homeowners association rules. Some of them even restrict you from parking older model vehicles in front of your house. So it could go either way. I woul...

Re: New Peugeot 406 in 2015??
I wish I could get a brand new freshly built 406 V6 estate, all options ticked.
Not that there's anything wrong with my 2000 2.2, but it is 15 years old and it does have 170000km on it. A brand new one would be amazing.
