Re: ''Dead Lock''?

It all depends which key type you've got. Being a pug it's not straight forward!

Re: Wanted - Key With Buttons

Have a look on ebay, lots of people sell repair kits. And there are various types of 406 key, so make sure you find the right one.

Re: Just about dip my toe into 406 diesel world

Having owned 2 110 HDIs and a 1.9 D8, I wouldn't say they ever put a bad diesel in these, just different degrees of good. I wouldn't worry about the 90 being more reliable than a 110. All the parts I've replaced on my 2 HDI 110s have been common to both power variants. As has been said, I would say ...

Photo card licence disables the paper one Not quite, the paper (counter) part IS the licence as it records penalty points and stuff, the two licenses go together in effect. The Photo Card is really a small convenient summary of your entitlement to drive and of course a mug shot to prevent fraudulen...

Re: Loss of turbo boost?

Hi Alex, try swapping the pipes and wiring with the electrovalve next to the end one, see if it makes a difference. Also try using half-throttle when accelerating to see if it is the TPS - its only a 5 minute job to clean anyway. Mine would light up EML on dash when flooring it and stall a bit but ...

I would agree that a solicitor is the way forward. Be very careful of what people online tell you in situations like this.

Re: Keep an eye on your cat !

Like I said, check out the prices on some thing like carparts 4 less. Something dosen't add up here. Mine is now £119.94 brand new with the flexi. £105 to £203 for a petrol one.
Mind you, wouldn't be the first time I've seen something on ebay for more than the new price.

Hi Alex. What's the score with your throttle position sensor? Just that when mine went it gave just these symptoms.

Re: Headlights on 02 reg. 406 Estate not working

Could you get a trusty multimeter onto the conector on the back of the headlight bulb to see if any electricity is getting that far?
