It's a nice enough job.
But the boot is too featureless to leave like that. It looks... half arsed. Not in terms of quality, but in the fact that there now a big void of nothing. Like someone could not be bothered designing anymore just as they got to the boot lid.

One of the front mounting bolts is on a bracket that is at a 45-ish degree angle.

Re: instrument illumination colour changing
All pre Com2000 dash clocks get their colour from the plastic the dial faces are printed on. All bulbs are simply clear. ... On the Com2000 units are lit up by coloured leds. So you could replace the leds if you were savvy with a soldering iron and had a VERY steady hand. Bluddy 'ell! I thought my ...

Com 2000 dials have blue gradiations on the "cold" side of the Oil and Water gauges. The needles white colour continues all the way from tip to tip (as oposed to stopping at the hub) And the wiper/ indicator stalks have a fatter, more ergonomic look like these: http://www.bba-reman.com/images/Peugeo...

Re: instrument illumination colour changing
All pre Com2000 dash clocks get their colour from the plastic the dial faces are printed on. All bulbs are simply clear. To change the colour you will need to somehow sand off the orange backing. Otherwise, any coloured bulbs (led replacements) would be a mix of the colour of the bulb mixed with ora...

So sorry to hear you were forced to get a Mondeo.
I'd not wish such a dull, lifeless, car on my worst enemies.

Re: Coupe Seats
I think the very last run of coupes featured side airbags. 2002-2004 roughly. The seats will not be a straight swap though, as has been said. If you're good at DIY and metalwork, I do not see why not however. 99% leather coupe seats are electric. If you can find a half leather interior, they are man...

Re: Coupe Seats
£300 is top buck for a full leather interior! I'd want no marks on it for that.
I got mine for £70!
As for interiors for the saloons/estates... you can find them if you look long and hard enough.
Saw a 406 Executive with a gorgeous cream interior a few months back. Has been crushed since

....... and you wouldn't want to anyhow as you'd get less comfortable seats........ Also you wouldn't want the coupé's front seats in a saloon/estate because they're less comfortable........ Sorry, but what an utter bunch of pure bollocks. Everyone, and I do mean everyone , who has sat in my coupe ...

Re: Clear stop lights
Don't like it.
It's that inner lense that adds a little sophistication to the rear lights and disperses the light in a nice pattern.
But, to each their own.

Re: Chrome Door mirrors
Never seen chrome wing mirrors on the 406.
On higher specs they are colour coded. Perhaps you saw one with its mirror covers painted silver?
