Re: Suzuki Swift 1.5 idling issues

Yeah, fly by wire this one, so a motorised throttle body here.

SWMBO is back. Seems to be better - occasionally drops to below 600rpm causing a judder but no stalls.

Hopefully it will get better as time goes on.

Re: Suzuki Swift 1.5 idling issues

Thanks chaps. Did another "reset" today and sent the wife off for a drive - we'll see if she comes back in one piece. I had a look around and the throttle body can be removed relatively easily. Annoyingly I would need to drain the coolant if I was to replace it. It looked clean*... Couldn't find the...

Re: Suzuki Swift 1.5 idling issues

Have been reading that battery replacement can indeed cause these issues and it has to "relearn"?

Suzuki Swift 1.5 idling issues

Sorry it's not 406 related but we allow Volvos here, so why not Suzuki :) Anyway, my wife's Swift (2009, 1.5L petrol) has some odd issues with idling and cutting out. It seems to idle at 400-500 rpm and feels very lumpy. Often when changing gear, or doing anything that would allow an engine to get t...

Re: New 'stricter' MOTs...

Good decision. I am in the mindset that if I know that my car is OK or will be OK for a while to come after work xyz is done, then I am keeping it. New* cars have far too many unknowns and will probably cost you more than you paid for the car in the first place. Especially older cars, like 406s. My ...

Re: Pointy Indicators on modern cars

The first thing is to enforce people to actually *use* the blasted indicators. Most seem to have forgotten of their existence. Or simply don't care...

Re: New 'stricter' MOTs...

Had my MOT last week. Passed without an advisory despite the gutted DPF and a remap. Emissions reading was 0.61, which is about the sticker value of 0.51 but the original sticker has gone AWOL and they used a 3.00 as the limit :supafrisk:

Re: Pointy Indicators on modern cars

It's 3D TV all over again. A lot of hype but ultimately noone cares and will demise pretty quickly.

And, yes, I *hate* those indicators. I have urges to rear end those Aldis... Well, I have that urge to rear end any Aldi but...
