Re: Turbo and EGR solenoid valves
Nice artwork Ben! At the moment the wastegate on your turbo is connected directly to a vacuum supply, holding the wastegate open at all times. Indeed, the photo seems to show that the wastegate is constantly on vacuum. However, I think this will keep the wastegate closed instead of open, at ...

Re: Turbo and EGR solenoid valves
Your current EV setup is very...bodged, to say the least. At the moment the wastegate on your turbo is connected directly to a vacuum supply, holding the wastegate closed at all times. This will be causing the car to trigger a MIL and potentially limp mode if it sees the turbo overboosting regularly...

Re: Coupé exhaust
Would it be possible to fit the 2.2hdi coupe exhaust to the 2.0hdi saloon? Much prefer the chrome tip and the straight exit as opposed to the pointing down style.

Walnut trim
I'm after a piece of walnut trim for my 406, the passenger glove box section. If anyone has a spare that they don't need any more, I'll happily pay postage plus some on top.
Thanks!
Ben
Thanks!

Re: Advice on niggly issues...
At this point in the cars life, it would be a prudent choice to replace the MAF regardless of if you are having issues or not. Even on a car with an old (albeit functional) MAF, you'd be surprised how much more spritely if feels after replacement. As I said earlier (and have evidence to support it)...

Re: Advice on niggly issues...
Er... what does clutch switch have to do with anything? I don't have issues with the clutch. And which issue are you referring to? Certainly on the 406 amongst other models, the clutch switch is used to change the throttle response dependant on the clutch state, be it engadged or open. When the clu...

Re: No power when engine is cold
Thx will order a new one right away. :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk What I'd do would be to buy some MAF cleaner, and apply that. If that doesn't work, I'd buy on a well known auction site, a good second hand genuine ( Siemens, as I recall) MAF. Steer clear of the cheap brand new ones. From Ch...

If I were you I'd get it hooked up to planet, that will give you a more in depth analysis of what is wrong.

Re: Project shed
Excellent progress made so far! I've done almost every mod in the book to my 110 so if you get stuck shoot me a PM! You can easily extract 145hp/330nm from these with a standard stage 1 map, without changing anything mechanically - my map was done by Steve @ HDi tuning in Bristol, he's very knowledg...

Re: What is this part?
As far as I'm aware, that is the fuel heater. Judging by this you should have a Bosch fuel filter, is that correct? The HDi shouldn't need the fuel heated in the UK so you may well get away with removing it and connecting the two quick release cables together.

Re: Could any of you help me out?
Slightly different request, if any of you have a spare cluster, would you mind removing the needles and taking a picture of the back of them please? Need to see how the light enters it.
Thanks!
Thanks!

That would be great! Let me know postage and I'll make sure you're on the right side of it.GingerMagic wrote:Hi Ben, I have a full-mux 4 dial cluster from a 2002 Hdi knocking around - its not faulty but you are welcome to it...
