Re: Seat airbag cables

No problem at all, it is good that you mentioned the fact that there is a "safe" procedure which should be followed.

Re: Seat airbag cables

To cut a long story short, once you've opened the bonnet and disconnected the battery - wait at least 5 mins before opening a car door This is only because the cars BSI is very sensitive so if you open a car door too soon after disconnection, the BSI is still winding down so to speak and 'may' get ...

Looks like your source missed some data.

I looked that part up in my Servicebox backup "virtual DVD" and found this for you:

Re: Airbag defective error on dash and audio aerial input.

I've always had the audio aerial input fault (since the first time I connected PP2000). Radio has always worked fine, so I'm ignoring it. I also had the airbag faults, they are always related to a bad connection (a brown connector plug iirc, under the seats). It is a flimsy plug that wiggles and wob...

Re: antipolution system defective

Clicking the right mouse button on the "LctPC.exe" file (the main PP2000 executable) shows my version: 1.20.0.0 . But looking at your video, it seems that you have a correctly working version of PP2000. It has detected your vehicle type and VIN number, which is a good sign. Difficult to say what cou...

Re: antipolution system defective

As for the other 3 faults, any idea what connector/sensor are they referring to? Turbo pressure sensor is the tiny thing on a small tube connected to the big pressurized air pipe: https://www.406oc.co.uk/download/file.php?id=4145 Boost pressure sensor location.jpg Accelerator pedal sensor you seem ...

Re: antipolution system defective

If you have the "Peugeot Planet 2000" (PP2000) software, it will tell you pretty detailed what the engine ECU thinks is going wrong. PP2000 runs on a PC or laptop under Windows (XP). You need a "Lexia cable" (google for it).

Re: Engine cooling fan motor

You're right, the links I gave seem to point to the simple fans, not the ones with the electronic regulator unit. I guess this is the one you would be looking for: https://www.ebay.com/itm/184056741418 . It has two sets of connectors: one for the main power and the other for the regulating. This lin...

Re: How to remove break servo?

Ah no, it is a right-hand drive (is it?). The servo is on the left side, which is the same place as on the left-hand drive version.

Cool! Well done indeed! From the photo's it looks like yours is left-hand drive? Or isn't it?

Re: How to remove break servo?

The Haynes manual says:
Right-hand drive models

Note: Access to the servo unit and crossover
linkage is exceptionally poor (especially on
diesel models) but can be improved by
removing the cylinder head (where possible)
or the engine!

Re: Engine cooling fan motor

I had the same issue a couple of years ago. The original issue was the aircon that stopped working during town driving (slow, many stops), but started working again when driving on a highway (continuous speed). I replaced the whole fan unit, including the motor and its electronics, OEM part number i...

Re: Door sill light - BSI pinout

I just had a peek into my (still working) SEDRE and filled in the DAM number 9586 (7 Feb 2003) of my 406 HDI Estate. Indeed the diagrams as posted by Steve appear to be the right ones. So it would be pin 8 of the blue 12-way connector into the BSI box.

Re: Supply sensors, EGR

After swapping both the BSI and the engine ECU, did you actually start the engine?

Many faults will only appear while the engine is running.
