Re: Using original joystick with SONY/Pioneer
Success! been using my remote for several days now with my pioneer head unit! This is the schematic of the original joystick. Your headunit must have wired remote control input for this to work! Notice the stereo jack marked W/R on the back near the aux input! http://www.picvalley.net/u/2197/1019954...

This is the right glue to use for the mirror. It is really solid. Been using it for them rubber seals of the front doors too.

Re: immobiliser keypad 406 1997
Look at the keypad connector. There are a whole lot of wires going to the keypad. The wires tend to tear over time. Open the connector and see if all wires are OK. Mine hadtwo torn wires that looked OK before opening the connector but made no contact on the inside.

Re: D8 Front fogs retrofit
My cables were wired to the indicator stalk mate(it was a '98 model). The other one we have (a '96 one) has the connector under the steering wheel but was fitted with the black facia and a blank module where the button must be. You have the cables pre layed for sure. If not under the steering wheel ...

Re: Potential Stupid Question!!
Not really possible. It is possible to retrofit a climate control from a D8, but it's a pain in the a** job to do. You need to have a donor car to get the electric loom out of and all the sensors in the system along with the motors that control the air vents and the module that controls them and a b...
