i run the wires directly to the batterys pos. and the negative to the point under the radio (under the center console) the access gromit is directly in the middle of the passangers footwell behind the glovebox if you remove the side plastic trims across the passangers front door and fold the carpet ...

be very carefull taking out the bottom bolts that hold the fastener in. if its stiff use plenty wd40 and undo it a little then tighten back up and work the wd40 through. on my old d8 i managed to snap one of those bolts and it had to go in garage and have fuel tank removed to bolt a new plate behind...

you dont need the clips for the front because its impossible for them ones to fall out.
ive got wind deflectors on my d8 and i havnt used the clips on all 4 doors. the front sit in perfect and will never fall out
the rear i used cyonacrilate super glue and bonded them to the rubber .

im sure i read on this forum before if u change clocks it adds the 2 milages up and displays the total. so if your car has 100k on and the car u get new clocks out has 100k on when u fit them to your car it will display 200k i have no idea if this is true but i am pretty sure i read that sumwere on ...

change the rear toplinks yourself . i can bet 99.9% the knocking will go away. its very common :mrgreen:

my 1999 d8 use to vibrate on tickover . i had the bottom engine mount replaced when the clutch was done a few months ago and its brilliant now .

have u had the car checked over ? for coolant leaks ?

i think before you go throwing money at head gasket replacement get it tested. garages can do some sort of sniff test with the coolant .

it could just be a coolant leak from radiator etc .

ive used ebay ones for the past 4 years and in that 4 years have only had to buy about 3 pairs. 2 of which were on my old d8 that i owned for 3 years. ive never had a problem with them. no way am i paying 30 quid a corner from dealers or even 15 a corner from factors. i will stick to ebay ones :mrgr...

my car doesnt seem right from letting it run out of fuel the other day i did 1 mile driving back home with the car running out of fuel. it would be ticking over at 500rpm then wouldnt have no power then it would have a little burst of power untill i got home it was clearly running very low on fuel. ...

i shipped wind deflectors from poland they took 2 weeks. i also shipped in from hong kong a boot lip spoiler. this took about 3 weeks if i remember. had tracking info tho all way from hong kong it even told me which flight it was on and when it landed at gatwick in london. was brilliant watching it ...

did u solder all joints? some joints have air line cracks (dry joints)
did you remove the speedo dials from the board. there are pins on them . this is a usually place for them to go as well

Ive heard of people putting it out for cats to drink because they dont want cats in the garden. But for a pub to do it to a dog is a disgrace. (Some nice pubs in Wigan btw, was there a few years ago. Though wouldn't recommend the hotel opposite the big debenhams) i think the pub just provided a tub...
