It is a 40mm socket to remove hub nut, I needed to put a hollow metal towing arm on the end of socket t-bar to shift it..!! Looking on eBay, it seems the o...

Re: Peugeot 406 doesn't start after hot sun exposure

This used to be an issue on cars with carbs, as the petrol sometimes evaporated in the heat and would take a while to restart, but not sure about injected cars.
I was thinking immobiliser too, maybe put a shield or something over the steering wheel / ignition barrel?
I did see some sun once....... 8)

Re: Glove box rattle

Hi, there are 2 small catches to hold the lid in place - quite hidden on the lip of the opening. These can be loosened and pushed back or forwards to keep lid more secure. If it still rattles a bit - you can take the lid off by sliding out the 2 white pins that make the hinge, and check the small co...

Sorry, technology isn't my thing.

Its just that some PP2000 advertised state you need XP. I'm sure there is a way around it but best talk to someone in I.T.

Re: Forum keeps going down

I have learned to ' Copy ' what I have just typed ( only because my typing is painfully slow ) just in case I get an error. If it doesn't go then I can simply ' Paste ' it again.. :cheesy:
Easy Peasy.

Re: sorry not 406

Funnily enough, I joined a Skoda forum to ask some questions regarding my Mum-in-Laws Fabia, around 6 weeks ago and guess how many replies I received?? None. If I have a question on this forum, I normally get many replies within the hour. This place is great :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: P.s. ...

Re: "SE" ?

As Doggy says, my 2004 exec has black / chrome dials, which I didn't like and expected white dials - but now my dash is all black ( not tatty and scratched silver ) I will stick with them. Maybe Peugeot just used what parts were left over when building the last of the 406s? Welton Panel ?? @Sonia - ...

Re: Removing rust on bonnet lip

Hi CJ, I would definitely recommend getting some quote to have it done properly. Maybe you could do the donkey work rubbing down etc to keep costs down but there are a few ' cosmetic touch-up ' places springing up all the time. Failing that, try this; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150967660465?ssPageNam...

Re: Breaking a Hdi 110 Rapier 2003 Estate

Yes I have the rad complete with fan.

Never really agreed on price for the turbo as I am not sure if I have the skills/tools to remove it. Have you got a price in mind if I succeed in removing it?
