Re: How To: Valeo BSI Cloning (full mux)

Hopefully the Gold one will be good to go!

Pugman and I have 'briefly' discussed taking one car to Pugfest, if we do go I have no idea how we will decide on what car we take! (My HDi, his HDi, or Penny's V6.....)

Re: How To: Valeo BSI Cloning (full mux)

OK thanks, let me know! No rush at all, got more than enough to keep me busy at the mo :cheesy: Will do! If i do go to Pugfest this year it'll just be a daytrip, just trying to figure out if i want to do the round trip! (Although, the girls will stay at home so i'll actually get a chance to talk to...

If I go I will bring one with me, still undecided at the moment, otherwise if someone else local is going i'll pass it to them to bring

Re: How To: Valeo BSI Cloning (full mux)

Any ideas if there is a similar procedure for the clocks i have a 5 dial will 100k more than 4 dial in my semi mux and wouldn't mind swapping them. Likely so, but without a set of clocks to examine, I can't tell. If you fancy pulling one of the sets apart and taking some photos of the circuit board...

Re: Cabin temp issues

When i got my current Coupe it was either hot or cold with no mixing it all, I swapped over the interior sensor and also control panel with no change to how it worked, in the end i found a setting in PP2000 where there were two modes of operation for the system, I changed it and it's been fine ever ...

Re: Turbo short circuit to positive..??...FIXED.....

When the car is off the actuator arm holds the valves open but as soon as you start the car the vacuum system pulls the swirl flaps closed down to 8v, which is the natural resting place if the arm pops off! Mine's been disconnected for quite a while now, at the moment it still has a cable tie holdin...

I'll have a word with my brother, in about 6 months he'll be having another kid which means there won't be enough seats in his Coupe!

Re: Top Gear is finally making a history of Peugeot episode

Nice! Not seen a Vauxhall Victor for years now, my dad had an FD 2000 Estate for over 20 years, someone down the road bought it when i was in high school to do it up, never seen it since though

Re: Top Gear is finally making a history of Peugeot episode

I think if i had a cherished car i'd be rather particular about who borrowed it, Top Gear would not be on the list!

Re: Top Gear is finally making a history of Peugeot episode

I imagine the owners who lent their cars for filming were a bit put out. Take the guy who lent the 306 rallye which appeared for a split second as a close up of the decal and exhaust. Can't be as bad as Tim on 406CC, they borrowed his car but the 406 didn't even make the cut. Although it was worse ...

Re: Best wire for Perm + for radio?

Sounds like the permanent and switched live need switching, normally with the aftermarket head units (basing this of Sony/Kenwood/Pioneer i've had in the past) they have an adapter cable coming from the head unit into the ISO cable from the car, usually there is a yellow and a red cable which have b...

Re: Top Gear is finally making a history of Peugeot episode

There was a contact from the BBC to multiple forums last year asking to borrow specific cars for a program they were shooting regarding the history of Peugeot, they would not specifically say Top Gear and no one was allowed to say which show it was, 406CC was one of the clubs contacted. My mechanic ...

Re: Portable battery chargers

I've got the Noco GB30, had some Amazon vouchers and it was on a Lightning Deal on Boxing Day, so far it's only been used once to start a 306 1.8 Petrol with a knackered battery and it did the job without any hesitation. I did see a video of a 4x4 being started by one with no battery at all connecte...
