Re: Blower controller cables
It seems the problem is in interior temperature sensor (near the lamp) or cables/connectors. Today it showed +63°C for 1-2 seconds and then the normal value +23. It was read with OBD (not Lexia) but I hope it is the same at least for this sensor. BTW, is there recommended type or model for OBD II do...

Re: Blower controller cables
The controller seems working - as I mentioned, I can control all levels of blower with button (- / +). I guess my problems are from bad temperature sensor or bad wire. Not 100% sure but I removed the CD/Radio several times and after such operation the A/C is working normally for some days. I think t...

Seat airbag cables
I want to replace my driver seat. Found a good replacement and the only reason for not finishing the job are the cables under the seat. There are at least 3 connectors, maybe 4. Are they always the same (position, color, etc.)? The donor car is 2002 (2.0hdi) and my is 2004 (2.2). I know there are so...

Re: Help virginising BSI
Usually this change of mileage means that now you see the real number and somebody has modified it in the past. I guess the car is bought second hand with "good" mileage.

Blower controller cables
The blower controller is on picture below. I guess the red and black cables are for power of the four levels of fan. I am interested about functions of yellow and green cables. Is there temperature sensor or other "info" coming FROM the blower (controller)? The speed of my blower is increased and de...

How to dismount a sensor
Hi. I tried to dismount a temperature sensor (evaporator). The place is too narrow but I succeeded to reach it and disconnect the connector. But don't know how to extract the sensor. Tried to pull directly, to turn left and right (not very hard) at 90 degrees but it is not moving.

Re: Steering wheel and airbag
The other question was for coupe (90hp). There is one steering wheel with Airbag. Will its airbag be compatible?

Steering wheel and airbag
I want to replace my steering wheel. It is leather type, 2004 with regular wheel from 1999 (I think first facelift). The question is whether my current airbag will be compatible with the older non-leather wheel? Unfortunately its airbag is sold.

Re: old topic, 406 replacement ?
VW Passat 6, common rail (110/140hp). What will be worse compared to 406? I prefer 110hp engine. The other choice is VW Touran 2008, PD 140hp.

Re: A/C fan speeds up from time to time
Thanks. It seems "Search" button in ServiceBox finds all options for a detail. I supposed that it filters only for my VIN.

Re: A/C fan speeds up from time to time
I found another sensor (OEM code 6445.S4). ServiceBox says it exists on my 406 but cannot access the scheme with location.

Re: A/C fan speeds up from time to time
PS: Is there method to deactivate automation of A/C? AFAIK, when temperature is 30°C, it is always heating (100% heat/0% cold). I want temporarily to deactivate A/C while searching for sensor replacement and avoid frequent position changes of valves.

Re: A/C fan speeds up from time to time
First time, 5 years ago, it failed after several ignition attempts (frozen fuel). Next time (2020) I think it was similar - low battery before alternator refurbishing. But this year I don't remember low battery / eco mode warning. It sounds like impossible connection between low voltage and temperat...

Re: A/C fan speeds up from time to time
My old problem started again. I am nearly sure that sensor 1 (evaporator) is the reason. Last year I replaced it and this solved the problem. What can be the reason such part to stop working again?
