Re: Newbie with a new motor!!
If it's an exec, I think it can only be a 2.0 Hdi 110 or 2.2 hDi 136 - don't think they put the 90 Bhp engine in execs. They're easy to tell apart, the 2.2 has a silver acoustic engine cover wth the logo Hdi 16. The 110 has a black acoustic cover, (as does the 90). 90 Bhp engines don't have an inter...

Re: My 'Jolly' to the Adriatic
Just a little update folks. Having decided not to try & book another trip, we asked supplier to supply lots of pics & general info so we could do a remote control pre-delivery inspection. Gen duly arrived, we inspected & feeling slighty uncomfortable with not arriving at suppliers, asked them for on...

Re: Is it right to flash "foggers"..
My car turns the fogs off on it's own after a preset time, accompanied by a audible chime. If you really need them you can turn them back on again. Good thinking I reckon! Only allows you to be a knob in half-hour stints   :P Does yours do that Puggy? Damn you Rees! now I've got...

Re: My 'Jolly' to the Adriatic
We had a meeting back at base & concluded it wasn't practical to go again this year & schedule demands they ship it in the next few days, so no.
What a shame

Re: Is it right to flash "foggers"..
Anyone fancy starting a campaign to ban the foglight menace? Maybe E nforce the L aw on F oglights Mind you car makers don't help. As previously pointed out you can't have the rear one on without the front on a 406  Some cars were more sensible, e.g. mk2 Jag. lighting switch marked O ff S ide ...

My 'Jolly' to the Adriatic
Had the 'priviledge' to do an acceptance visit for some kit we're buying from an Italian supplier. The only practical flight being 8:20am Gatwick/Bologna, I thought sh!te, I'll have to get up at Welton o'clock. Discovered online check-in, lets you get there at 7:35. Consulted TomTom: home-Gatw...

Re: Is it right to flash "foggers"..
I don't know whether I need glasses or what but I'm finding oncoming headlights to be very bright on my way home when I'm tired etc. to this end I get really pissed off with the "front fogs brigade" and give them a flash! I've tried flashing my fogs briefly in the hope that maybe they'd forgot they...

Re: 1st Gear
My previous Citreon would often refuse to go into reverse when cold, but I found putting into 4th, then reverse worked every time so I left it at at that. (I think it didn't like 1st either, but I always reversed out of garage). It's worth a try.

Re: Email jokes from my bro.
I had no light in the bathroom for 6 months (ground floor rear of house) until I repaired a socket in the daughter's bedroom that was faulty (bedroom extension above kitchen between main house and bathroom). Fixed the socket, and hey presto, I got my light back    So they've ta...
