Re: Brake plate bolt

It's not a good idea to try and re-use the hub/bearing. In the process of pulling it off, huge forces are exerted across the bearing races and damage will undoubtedly occur. It's a different matter when putting a new one on because it's just drifted on using the inner race's surface only, so no forc...

Re: Brake plate bolt

Isn't that where one of the handbrake shoe retaining clips go? Two per side. A main dealer didn't know this?? The part on the extreme right of the bag in this pic. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd176/markyspark20/Rear%20Hub-Handbrake-links/8b79a9dd-d777-4874-8e79-24fbcc58da4a_zps24b81e0a.jpg It...

Auto lights is a multiplexed feature so the non mux stalk in the pic won't be able to do it, I'm afraid.

Re: mfd brake warning

The centre console has to lifted up to get access to it. It's not too drastic! Two M6 bolts at the rear, two M6 nuts and two T20 torx screws under the ashtray, take out the switch bank and disconnect all the connectors, pop out the handbrake trim. Are you registered on the Coupe forum? This might he...

Re: mfd brake warning

Does the red brake symbol on the dash illuminate at the same time? This is a common occurrence and is cured by replacing the cheap n nasty switch under the handbrake lever, believe it or not. The switch used in the glovebox for it's internal lighting is exactly the same, so you could try that as a n...

Re: Two button key work on a one button system

What's wrong with the original key apart from the obviously missing push button switch on the pcb? If it's only the switch that's missing, there are places that do a repair service. This link is for a two button fob, for example. They may also repair one like yours. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3209047...

Re: Clarion Head Units - Are semi & full mux units the same?

You can get the amplified output of the CD head unit to work with an existing OEM amp by using a line level conversion loom plugged into the output of the HU to drop the levels right down so that the amp can handle them. There's one for sale on't Coupe forum... http://www.406coupeclub.org/PHP...
