Flywheel

Is it possible to guess (by vibration or other side effects) whether dual-mass flywheel is replaced with single-mass flywheel (on HDI 2.2)?

Re: New member long term owner

If I correctly understand the moving part is in the red square:

And it is controlled by part with OEM code 0363.87 like this: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/meat-doria/13878850

Re: New member long term owner

Vacuum lines and pipes were checked 2-3 times and technicians say they are ok. Maybe the last possible reason is the EGR valve. I have relatively good acceleration between 2000 and 3000 rpm but above 3000 it is worse.

Re: New member long term owner

About MAF - I know HDI can run without MAF and then it calculates "good" values depending on current speed/rpm. I suspect my MAF is bad or not working but diagnostics say it has normal values. Is it possible to work with automatic (catalog) values instead of real measures from MAF without yellow ind...

Re: A/C fan stops working for short time

Finally, the problem was in the connectors of Actuator 6441.L2 mentioned above. A better Valeo code is 710355 (instead of 509355) because it includes new connectors for replacement.

Re: A/C fan stops working for short time

Is there separate fuse for a/c fan or no need to check it? If I see correctly, it is fuse F (15A) but description says it is used for Display, Audio, etc. (they are working).

Re: A/C fan stops working for short time

After another stop yesterday the fan has not yet started. It is time to look at connector. Is it accessible after removing the glove box and carpet without the plastic behind glove box?

Re: A/C fan stops working for short time

We did have a few burned out fan connectors, maybe these would be worth looking at. Where I can find them? Is it only happening in Auto? What happened if you manually set the fan speed from the start? Regarding the Valeo 509355 you mentioned, I think it exists in D8 but not D9 (I'm not sure). With ...

A/C fan stops working for short time

Last year I had this problem several times. Recent days it happened again 2-3 times. The A/C starts working with cool air and in one moment the fan stops (on Auto mode). I tried to change fan speed manually but it does not work at any speed. After 20-30 seconds up to 1 minute it resumes its work. Ne...

Re: Steering wheel of Coupe

It was with airbag or you are using the old airbag (from original s/w)?

Steering wheel of Coupe

I am interesting whether the steering wheel + airbag from 406 Coupe can be used in Estate? At least the look of steering wheel is little different - there are some dots in middle part. I want to renew my steering wheel and some offers are from coupes.

Re: Ignition fault

The car is in the service. For the moment the reason is wrong data from sensor for fuel pressure. 3 hours ago I was afraid that last refuel was with petrol instead of diesel but the mechanic said it is not (decided by smell from open fuel filter). Is there a chance to drive the car with 2:1 diesel:p...

Re: Ignition fault

It seems the pump is working. Yesterday evening I tried to start and surprisingly ignition was ok. This morning again - started 4 times with short pauses. Later the car stayed about 1 hour and yesterday's problem occured again. I have "Antipollution failure" message since Friday which looks like dif...

Re: Ignition fault

Now I worry more about difficult removal. It means that cannot be done without service (on road) and not every service is good choice. Don't understand why such bad engineering solutions exist. Easy removal of each part must be planned and tested (in my opinion).
