Re: Newbie

Hi Paul, Glad you made some progress! You have to physically tell the ecu to manually re-gen the FAP, at which point it does it all itself, controlling the revs and melting anything within 20 yards of the exhaust! You cant just leave it at high revs for a bit to clear it, only other way is to take i...

Re: hard to start when warm !!!!!!

Has anyone tried reading the codes off it? Would give you a clue why the management light is on. Rather than throwing more money at parts why not get a cheap code reader and see if the car will tell you whats up when you ask it nicely :)

Re: Newbie

Hi, I have emailed you links to both the maps and ECUSafe (read my previous posts for info on what this does) Limp mode can be caused by many things, not just the FAP, I assume you were getting the particulate fault error on the screen? If you had read the codes before taking a hammer to the filter ...

Re: The device can not do my Peugeot 607

I bought my Lexia 3 clone of ebay second hand as I didn't want to wait for the slow boat from china, turned out to be a french made one :D , had absolutely no issues with it. I paid £100 but have seen the same items listed, albeit at a higher price, from other sellers. My Dad is an auto electrician ...

Re: Is my BSI frazzled???

After de-fapping my ECU I have a permanent fault code on it of "no communication with BSI" which sounds similar to what you have? it doesn't seem to affect anything and I have successfully turned on various systems in the BSI that were off when I got the car (door lights, auto headlights auto wipers...

Re: Newbie

All gone well so far, due to time constraints i'm having to go on trust that the de-fapped ECU map is good, as the car has to be driven to Cornwall on Sunday (from Derby)! Driven it for all of 20 miles with no fault codes appearing (the eloys tank is bone dry and was throwing a fault code before fla...

Re: Newbie

Sorry for hijacking the thread I am in the process of de-fapping my 406. I have got the map files from dogslife that he uses and read my ECU. I also have a copy of ECUSafe. I read my ECU, de-fapped it with ECUSafe and wrote it back but with no luck (particulate filter error re-appeared). Now this co...

Re: KWP2000 remap stuff on eBay

@dogslife,

Would love a copy of your de-fap'd files (specifically the standard 2.2 136) if you can send them to me. (Would PM but as a new user it won't let me yet, you should be able to contact me by email though my profile)

Thanks Ben
