Re: My GTX

Not done much to the GTX for a while now, still not fitted the wheel bearing  regarding the brake fluid loss I believe I've tracked it down to the clutch slave cylinder. Gave Peugeot a call and they said the part is in high demand and it would probably be early September before they could get ...

Brake fluid loss

It appears that the GTX is loosing brake fluid. Now I've been under the thing and checked all the calipers and brake lines, they are all dry and in good condition. I've also had the lower footwell trim out and the clutch master cylinder is dry. Is there any chance the slave cylinder could be leaking...

Re: Which one to buy

I wouldn't use the generic maps either. When I did our passat it was very straightforward, then the 3 of the most nerve racking minutes of my life where it says erasing flash  then uploading the new file. I made a couple of backups of the original just in case things don't go to plan.

Re: 2.0. v 2.2 Hdi engines.

I've been on this forum many years and it appears to me that HDi's vary quite a lot with MPG's, some easily manage high numbers whilst others struggle. I only wish I could offer a solid reason for it. I've noticed this on many forums. The passat forum I'm on is the same some cars will easily pull 5...

Re: My GTX

Well I think the 600 mile trip over the weekend has finished off the noisy rear wheel bearing, where it used to rumble under heavy cornering and at around 70 mph it now rumbling constantly. A quick search and phone around found that ECP would get me one for £ 77, and a few if the local motor factors...

Re: Wheel Bearing roulette - Volvo woes

While on the topic of wheel bearing the rear left on the GTX is now very noisy, especially at 70 mph
