Re: Thieving scum strike again

There trying to crack down on all aspects of car theft crime.

Someone from my works recently accompanied police on a raid at a car breakers to identify if any of the parts were from stolen cars. After they identified parts from 75 different stolen cars they stopped checking.

Re: The 2.2 HDI engines

The turbo will spool a bit quicker without the dpf and egr but I think that will be it. The ecu controls the boost level via a reading from the map sensor, and also controls how much diesel is added, if higher flow rated injectors are fitted the ecu will reduce the time they are open to try and stop...

Re: New Mot Rules for 2014

I guess the guidence will be any diesels registered after eurostage 4 came in must have a particular filter, (i believe this would be January 2005), and any which have been obviously deleted. But saying that does euro stage 4 say you must have a particular filter or just reach the stricter 0.025 g/k...

Also when you highlight a fault (like you have with the top one) sometimes you can press f6 and it will give you more details of the fault.

Re: 2.2HDI Limp Mode, PP2000 Diagnostics

I guess with your custom cat replacement pipe the exhaust temprature probe has been removed, (I believe it is only used for the regenerating the fap so not needed, but not sure if it will clear with fap absent in the ecu)

Re: 2.2HDI Limp Mode, PP2000 Diagnostics

Strange that there are so many fap related faults after a de-fapped re-map. First thing I would do is try going into the ecu again, somewhere in there you can change the configurations, select the particular filter and set it to absent, hopefully this may clear all of the additive and filter related...

Re: Turbo cleaners, do they work?

I was wondering about the vacuum side of things, the coupe chaps seem to be getting rid of vacuum tanks but I'm not sure why..? I've noticed that too, but since the reservoir is there to ensure there's a vacuum reserve to keep stuff working if the brake servo's gobbling most of it, seems barmy to m...

Re: Clutch slip, or something else?

As soon as mine slipped a couple of times I purchased an new kit incluging flywheel, however it was atleast 6months before I changed it as it wasn't a problem. This is the only job I've paid someone to do as on the coupe it is supposed to be a subframe off job and Peugeot quote it as a 9.5 hours wor...

Re: Clutch slip, or something else?

I noticed clutch slip a few times, travelling at a constant speed about 2000rpm in 5th gear, I then floored it, engine revs went up to about 2500 rpm but the car didn't speed up as it should have.
