Re: Electrical whine sound when accelerating

Could just be your turbo whistling?
Mine whistles a bit, sounds like a whine when inside the car.

has it become louder suddenly or always been like that? any loss of power?
EDIT: any smoke when you accelerate hard on boost?

Re: Clutch judder

This sounds just like the clutch in my Expert 2.0 HDi 110 van....this is condensation which goes away after the engine/clutch warms up. My clutch has been like this for as long as I can remember, 6 years at least. My van judders for the first few times the clutch is used then is fine until the engi...

Re: Clutch judder

I had a sniff around, nothing really out of the ordinary as far as I could tell. I tried working the clutch for 15 seconds like you said and it seemed to have a positive effect. however this morning when I left for work, it was back to the same juddering. I went for a long enough drive to collect a ...

Re: Clutch judder

Also, if the clutch needs replacing I won't have the money to get it done until the start of february  any tips on how I should shift to keep it going as long as possible?

Clutch judder

I had my gearbox oil changed about 2000 miles ago (ish), gave the garage a bottle of oil direct from a pug dealer, I checked myself online and it was definitely the right oil. At first the car was fine, but the last 1000 odd miles the clutch has been slightly juddery when pulling away in first gear ...

Found this in my boot, what is it?

I was swapping a brake light bulb when I found this behind the boot liner on the left wall of the boot. Anyone know what it's for? It was disconnected when I found it, the male part of the connector looks a bit like a tv cable. As an aside, my heated rear window doesn't work, could this be why? Don'...

Re: Broken mirror hinge / colour swap on mirrors

Ok grand, cheers for that! Would there be any issue putting a D9 mirror onto a D8? obviously they wont match, but will the mounting screws fit? and will the loom just be plug and play or will it need re-wiring?

Broken mirror hinge / colour swap on mirrors

Hi all, a quick one hopefully!

My drivers side wing mirror was damaged recently, the hinge has snapped. Can I get a mirror of any colour and swap the coloured panel at the back or swap the hinge (the black plastic bit)? Or am I doomed to buy an overpriced mirror of the right colour?

How much do our doors weigh?

Apologies for posting in the wrong forum but I need a quick reply and this is the most read forum! Has anyone got a rough idea of how much one of our doors weigh in at. I am getting a replacement after a muppet in a van wrecked my driver's door. I've found a couple of doors in breakers but need to a...

Re: Door swap from estate to saloon (EDIT) crash damage

I'll need a new mirror with the door, the current mirror was snapped off it's hinge, the shell is no use but the internals are fine. Thing is if I get a new door with a manual mirror there might be a bit of tricky wiring work i.e. threading cables through the door frame into the mirror? Haven't both...

Door swap from estate to saloon (EDIT) crash damage

Can I pull the front driver's side door off a D8 estate and fit it to a D8 saloon? Seems likely but just wanted to check. Cheers EDIT may as well put up pics of what happened. Muppet in a van reversed into me. Looks like I should be able to do a straight swap if I can get a blue door with electric m...

Rear left exterior door trim

Anyone know if the door trim from a 4 door 306 will fit onto the 406? It's the plain black one on a d8. Looks likely but want to double check. Can't find a d8 406 anywhere in breakers but lots of 306s around
