Re: Changing outer tie rods, help?
About 4 hours to remove the left one, 2 minutes on the right one. Definately need some adjustments. Now I'm a bit impressed with myself;)

Re: Looking at 2000 406 ST $4000 NZ
That's pretty much my exact car! Mileage, model, year. I bought it 3.5 years ago. The brake fail comes up now and then, but its an electrical fault on mine at least. Things I've changed are: - Brakes - Fuel pump - something called an "idle regulator" (sorry don't know the english name) Mine just tur...

Re: Lower Engine mount: I hate you!
Hah! Me and my mate spent about 3 hours hitting the damn thing with a sledgehammer to get it in, after destroying the old one of course. Not quite the right way to do it (ok, quite a bit of the 'old crazy) but it worked:)

Changing outer tie rods, help?
Hey folks. I need to change the outer tie rods on my d9, and was wondering if it is doable for me myself, as I am short on cash atm :| I am moderately experienced, and as it is a mechanical part I think I could do it with some time and patience. Anyone done it? I imagine I remove the wheels and then...

Thanks guys. I have always been a Playstation man and never gave the choices a though when the PS2 was released, it was straight down the shop and handed over my cash. However now with Microsoft's 360 it appears more and more hardened playstation owners are moving over to the 360. I think most peop...

There will be a 120GB black 360 with HDMI soon. Anyway I have a 360 and a Wii, best combo ever. Right now the 360 is the thing to get, better games, better software and all the bugs have been ironed out. The gfx power on both are roughtly the same, but the ps3 have a potentially better cpu. I say po...

The 406 quite simply looks sexy as fook, I bought mine after deciding against buying a Mondeo, Primera, Passat as all being dull and boring cars. I did like the Alfa 156 and BMW 3 series, but the Alfa seemed to be unreliable and I aint a big enough prick to drive a BMW. :cheesy: The 406 still looks...

Yes, kind of. I did it from underneath, removed the covers (the plastic ones you take off when you change the bulbs) and unscrew the lights. There are three screws, two below (easy) and one above (nightmare). The one above the lights takes forever because there is only just enough room for your hand...

Water in the foglights ...
I'm having a problem with water building up in my foglights (d9). Not running water, but condense on the glass. I want them clear and pretty like everything else:) I had them off, blowdried them and added some silicone to seal them, but the problem returned quickly. Anyone experienced a similar prob...

Help with a 306?
Hi, I'm almost new. I forgot the password to my old account (weird, since I usually use the same everywhere). I've looked around a bit, but found the 306oc forums a lot more annoying than the nice calm place that is here:) I also remember that a few of the members here had or have 306 models as well...
