Of course.
Merely trying to point out that 12v with a lot of amps behind it still needs respect.

While that's true Steve, (about 12v not going to kill you), placing the probes of a multimeter across a battery while it set to measure current, might give you a little surprise!
(well, it'll surprise the multimeter at least....)

Re: Any Peugeot mechanics on here?
Are you saying the wheel bearing itself has play in it or that the male splines on the end of the shaft are a poor fit inside the female splines of the hub?

Re: Cracking Coupe For Sale
This one's been about doing the rounds I think Pete. Questions raised so far: Where do you mount the rear number plate and obligatory lights?! How easy is it going to be to change that rear bumper in the event of a prang?! The side repeater lamps have been removed which on a car first used a...

Yes, yes and yes.so you'd also be powering all the houses on your phase too? Won't that kill your generator? What about when the power comes back, won't there be an almighty big bang?

Whatever method is used, if it's to be hooked up to the house circuits and not used as a stand alone, please [/u] make sure it has the proper isolation fitted. I used to work for my local Electricity Board (in the good old days when it was a service...not a steam roller, money making machine....) an...

Re: When should you change PAS fluid?
In a pdf I have which details how to test the pressure in the system, it states that at 1500 rpm, the pump should be capable of providing 100 bar, + or - 5 bar.
I'd say that was quite high.

As there's no 'official' drain point provided, I guess they expect it to last the life of the car.
I had to replace mine simply because the servo valve on the rack died and to replace it, all the fluid escapes....

Good to hear that a main dealer has done something right.
I thank the stars that I'm able do all of my repairs myself because if I had to pay main dealer prices, I would have been off the road years ago.....

Re your internal courtesy lights..... Make sure that the original bulbs haven't been replaced with LEDs by a previous owner. On older cars such as your one (no offence) the courtesy light switch operates in such a way that current goes through the lamp in opposite directions, depending on whether it...
