very little, about 5litres into around 40 of derv. Cant see that doing anything, was advised from several diesel mechanics.

well the old girl done good, Drop of petrol in the tank and gave her death for 15 miles to the test centre, She blew 0.29 :cheesy:

thanks for all the advice gents, no doubt there will be something else to query soon.

90% long drives so only ever gets drivien easy...I gave her a good blast before the last test. Shes booked in at half 12 today, so sell see what happens then

So if im reading this right, there may be no problem with the Maf? someone may have done this as a precaution? thats good news i guess :? there is a white line of paint across the maf and connector itself but this extra wire is definitley not a peugeot modification, its too messy to have been done b...

I noticed this on my car recently also, (2003 HDI 90) It came on for a brief second when i first bought the car but has stopped coming on recently, Like the OP it hasnt caused a problem yet with the warmer weather but suspect it might later on. had a quick look there, the red wire from the battery negative is tapped into a White wire in the MAF plug loom, can anyone confirm is this the ground wire for the maf?

also found the ecu and you were right its siemens :(

ok, bummner about the cruise as the most is mostly used for long trips but hey ho what can i do, Do you know where the ecu is located to check for definite? im going to check the wiring a bit further in a minute, see what i can see then. Ive been running Dipetane through her since it failed 2 weeks ago and yea this time im going to try get the car red hot and hope they bring it straight in. will look into that soon Doggy as i like being able to do things myself and have been looking into retrofitting cruise control also so im guessi...

that is one of the most common fail items here in ireland, as its the quickest thing for them re-test but they can charge as it has to be brought in to be checked. money racket much......... if it was too high you might understand but too low. Hi all, new on here. recently bought a 2003 Hdi 90. Car is driving perfect with good mpg and no smoke that ive noticed.
