Re: Replacement daily hack!

I think it's time I dropped in, as it's been a while... I'll keep it very short and sweet: I bought it back years later and I still have it to this day. I haven't done very much with it unfortunately, but that'll change someday I found a video of it afterwards from the outside, as I don't thin...

Re: Replacement daily hack!

Cheers! But like all good things, they have to come to an end sometime  Time I closed the book on my fantastic daily driver Since the engine was done I covered 4k miles in it in I think 6 weeks.... There was one week I had over 600 miles put up in 2 days, I was looking to blitz well into the 10...

Re: New owner

Sorry only saw this now! New plugs definitely improved starting, still takes about 3 or 4 cranks though. I serviced the car myself the other night as it happens, squeezed the primer a good few times and she fired up first time so there could definitely be a little air in the fuel lines but it's not...

Re: D8 timing belt and water pump (and possibly crank pulley

Howya Matt ;) Gates/Contitech is what I'd go for myself. Kits cost £70 from the local motor factors. I use first line stats and pumps, no problem with them. There were 2 types, I had the cheaper £15 version thankfully :cheesy: Whats up with the pulley? Is it damaged? I use a puller to remove mine, o...

Re: Stilo 1.9JTD non starter???

Time for mr Fiat head to come in.... Feckin Stilos anyway  Reset the ECU: unplug the battery and leave overnight. Plug again in the morning. Start, let idle for 5 mins, drive off. Turning but non starter: check the crank sensor, make sure the key is disarming the immobiliser. What lights are o...

Re: Replacement daily hack!

Time I poked my head in here again :cheesy: As of the 5th of Jan, I'll have this car a year :cheesy: Since the K14-2 swap, this car is an EPIC daily driver. Very few can outpace it, as a young fella in a WRX found out one night at the lights :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: Not much has changed, although ...

It's just more developing for me.... Re: Replacement daily hack!

With a few issues to address with the TB25, not much more I can do for the mo.... Plenty of driving about though. With 20psi of boost and a Transit spring in for a gov the power is there when I need it.... It'll do for now :cheesy: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-P-otBMU53cY/UcyvIlgX-zI/AAAAAAAAA...

Re: New aaand full of questions :)

Nope - Rapier just had black cloth. Rapier is positioned between LX and GLX - both of which have manual cloth seats. It's still nicer than the LX spec I had when I had a saloon. If you wanted half-leather, you'd need to look out for a D9-model SRi or SE. All the others had either full cloth or full...

Re: New aaand full of questions :)

Welcome! Rapier is a D9 spec, half leather, alloys, climate control etc. Worth going for one over the base model
