Re: HDI starting issue
OK after a few days trying the priming it doesn't make any difference.
The main factor in this problem is cold weather. Makes it so much worse. So I'm thinking battery again....

Re: HDI starting issue
It's spinning over fast and doesn't slow down as if the battery is struggling.
Yes there is a priming bulb under the bonnet will give that a try and report back. Thanks

Re: Horn failure after COM 2000 repair
Ok finally cracked this, the only problem was my stupidity  took the airbag off again and pulled the spade connection off the back and touched it to the earth cable (T15 torx screw) and it sounded. Amazingly when I tried before I was touching it to the centre (metal) of the steering wheel which...

Re: Horn failure after COM 2000 repair
I don’t know what I was getting before unfortunately, I was just pleased it was working. Although my friend is breaking a 2001 hdi (D9 I believe but not sure, has crystal headlights etc) I was going to get the com out of it but unfortunately it has the older type controls with thin stalks, also the ...

Re: Horn failure after COM 2000 repair
Also this is my fuse box in engine bay, no relays in here. Not the type I’m expecting to see anyway. I’m looking for small square shaped items with pins on the bottom? What are these plugs for in between fuses? http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u146/dave-coupe/C8125F1A-181C-437E-BF15-2EF58584D05F_z...

Re: Horn failure after COM 2000 repair
Ok just to update this, managed to get my hands on a replacement com2000 unit (2nd hand) from a local mechanic, fitted and all worked fine. Horn beeping perfectly. 5 mins later took the car to the shops and tried to push the horn for another test while driving and it had stopped working again ...

So are you saying it can’t be done? Will I need to replace the com unit then? This mux is a bit above my head.

Re: Remote Central Locking stopped working
Didn't know there was a correct procedure I just turned the car off and disconnected the live terminal? Yeah I tried that turning the ignition on and holding the lock button for 10secs it isn't working. I also tried one which was locking the door manually and holding it for 5secs then unlocking it a...

Remote Central Locking stopped working
Hi I disconnected the battery on my 2003 110 HDI 406 for about 45 mins to weld the exhaust. When I hooked it back on the RCL had stopped working, it has always worked perfectly since I've had the car until now. I tried searching online and found a couple of sequences for re-pairing the key but I'm n...
