I realise its the silicone pads but its the big lumps of solid glue I have to try and remove, I tried a glue remover but it didn't work, its for spillages before its mixed with the gardener, hairdryer didn't work, I've got a tiny needle file from work, hoping I can get rid of it that way without dam...

My automatic rain sensor doesn't work so I took my rear view mirror off to have a look and instantly saw the problem!!
