Hi Gumby, See the link below for the Bosal diagrams. Looks like very early ones had silencer and no cat.

Re: 1998 1.9TD Est Catalyst Removal
Cheers D9406, it's nice to hear something good coming out of somethng bad!
Did you buy the straight through pipe off the shelf or was it made to fit?
If it was made to fit, pardon me for asking but, how much are we looking at pricewise?
Cheers

Re: 1998 1.9TD Est Catalyst Removal
Cheers for the replies Doggy, thats an impressive sounding car you got there. If I ever did get shot of mine, the 2.2 would be top of the list. Jasper, thanks also, it's always good to hear it one more time! I was pretty sure that what you mentioned was indeed the case, but after viewing and hearing...

Re: 1998 1.9TD Est Catalyst Removal
Hello again Doggy, Just seen that yours is a 2.2hdi and I'm thinking of an change at some point.Love the handling of the old girl so I thought I might look at a later 2.2hdi to get a bit more go. How have you found it, I know they had FAP's which are a bit of a pain, but not the end of the world. Lo...

Re: 1998 1.9TD Est Catalyst Removal
Cheers for that, I did see a reply to a post where you mentioned it being done, but wondered whether it was a straight swop with no mods. Been on the Bosal Catalogue for a cross reference but the downpipe fixing flanges look different??? It's good to hear you've done it though, I've got zero access ...

1998 1.9TD Est Catalyst Removal
Hello All, I have been living with a 'rattly cat' for some time, but enough is enough, it's got to be looked at! It was originally purchased from a famous autotcentre beginning with 'K' and lasted just over the 1 year warranty period! - I know what you're gonna say but it was late and I was out of t...

Re: Drivers door window regulator.
Hello again Phil, Sorry to hear you're still having problems. I've just had a look at the wiring diagram to double check: Fuse 3 in under bonnet box 1 supplys the main +ve for both F27 & F29 fuses inside the car. F27 = Drivers side, F29 = Passenger side. So F29 being good and F27 being blown or open...

Re: Drivers door window regulator.
Hello Phil, When I discovered the broken wire in the gaitor, I had the door card off to check the feeds at the motor connector. You could pull enough of the gaitor back to expose the wires and enable you to give them a tug. With the door card being off (and inner foam lining) it just made life a bit...

Re: Rear Cigarette Lighter
Sorry about butting in... Dogslife and Lecky are right in what they're saying. The fuse rating is there for the protection of the wiring to the device, not the other way round. If you add an extra cigar lighter socket, keep the same size fuse in place, this will protect the wires and is doubtful you...

Re: Will a D9 Window motor fit a D8?
Cheers for that Steve. Also worth mentioning, as a warning to anyone who instantly suspects the motor to be the problem (as I did), is the following: For a while the window operation had been poor, struggling against gravity and the weight of the window when raising the window (high current draw). T...

Re: Drivers door window regulator.
Hi Phil, Just noticed you were the originator of this thread, sounds identical to my fault - fault was broken main feed wire (feeding Pin #1 below) in door gaitor/sleeve. At the door motor/regulator connector there should be two 12V +ve feeds: Pin #1 is a permanent +ve (fuse 27 - 20A), Pin #5 is an ...
