My old saloon also has an official 406 spoiler on, same as Plod's does. My '98 406 has an original Peugeot spoiler (has the 'stamp' on bottom of it) and it looks very different from Plod's. i know exactly what you mean, there are 3 parents at my kids school that own impreza's, and as for the spoiler, the 22B wide arch impreza was a limited edition, and the spoiler that came on it is slightly different than a stock WRX/STI spoiler, most of the after market spoilers are 22B copies, so ye...

like I said I'm no stranger to pugs, just the first 406, and definitely no stranger to forums

well that one being a rare 22B it's not likely you'd find any resemblance

new to the 406 but not a total noob to pug's, due to a bereavement i am having to get shut though, but long term i would love to get the turbo model, petrol turbo that is
