Hello, the problem was happening before I changed the pads, in fact it was why I changed the pads.

Hello, I have a 2001 406 Hdi Rapier estate and the brakes are grinding and the pedal "bumping" when the brakes are applied. I have put new pads front and rear and the discs appear to be in good condition but it is still doing it, any ideas what could be causing this? Hope someone can help. :( Thanks

Thanks for the help, it's sorted now.

It was a fuse, I had already looked at them and they looked ok, but when I took them out and looked more closely I realised one was cracked.
