The rattle you're all talking about sounds like the first signs of the bottom pulley breaking up, that's what happened with mine and within a few weeks it disintegrated.

I could be talking pish though.

I drive with my foot welded to the floor in my 110 and the least I've had out of a tank in 650 miles. The most I've had was just over 800 miles on a motorway trip, and that was doing 90mph from Glasgow to Stafford, then the return trip towing a trailer at about 70mph. I think it's amazing, but then ...

The first sign was a very slight rattle at about 2000rpm, then a strip of metal appeared in the engine bay. The rattle came and went for about 2 weeks, then after a long blast to my girlfriend's house (about 40 miles) I turned the stereo down and heard a really nasty rumbling noise and noticed the a...

I got one of these from this seller 2 weeks ago. Not sure if it's a refurb or not, looks well put together anyway. Fits fine and does its job, and the free oil filter is a bonus too. Only had to get one because the old one disintegrated, threw debris behind the timing belt cover, caused the timing b...

Thanks buddy but can get a mesh cone for next to nothing, prefer the cold-air induction kits.

Cheers for the info! I've got the chance of a mahoosive intercooler from a Golf 1.8T 150bhp which was supposedly running about 230bhp, so if it's good enough for that it's good enough for my peugeot! I'll try and get the decat and exhaust done over xmas when my mate's boss is away - then maybe he wo...

Hmmm good point. I'll see how much space there is between the rad and bumper. If it has to sit inside the bumper I'll probably spray it black to make it less noticable.

I can get an exhaust and de-cat made up for next to nothing - my best pal runs a custom exhaust centre. Same with the front mount, can get one for about £40. Just need to know if it's worth doing before I get it done. I'm gonna try and make it as much of a sleeper as possible, but need shedloads of ...

HDi tuning advice please!

Hi all, I'm new in town. Recently swapped from a Mondeo ST24 to a 406 HDi 110 for economy and towing, but it's too slow for me already. First of all I'm looking into getting it de-catted and a 2.5" exhaust system? Has anyone on here done this, if so does it make a difference to performance? I notice...
