Re: Pug 306
The ABS light was on for the last ten months and the sills were rotted through beside the seatbelt anchor points. It got shredded within an hour of arriving at the breakers yesterday, I went back to get something out of it and it was gone. Had a little lump in my throat as I walked away and left it ...

Re: Pug 306
Didn't go for that one, went for a 2000 one in Inverness instead. Only £150 more than the N reg one with two new tyres and tidy alloys as well. Clean little car, 1.6 automatic (the missus only has an auto licence) It drives well the gearbox is smooth, cd player works and it is really quick off the m...

Pug 306
Hi, I've just been offered an 'N' Reg Pug 306 XT automatic, only 51000 miles. Anything to look out for that any of you know of? Thanks.

Re: Engine problem.
Ah well, it's bound for the scrapyard! Failed the MOT on the ABS, both sills pretty badly corroded, paintwork is perfect but hardly any metal behind it, it seems. Loks like too much money for repairs to be honest. Couple of other minor things as well but it could take the bill well over £500. Shame,...

Engine problem.
I have this intermittent problem with my 406. When it first starts on a cold or damp day, it sometimes sounds like a Subaru, that kinda three and a half cylinder sound and if I let the revs drop, it stalls and sounds like it is compressing a pint of petrol on trying to restart it. If I rev it up and...

Re: Hi from frozen Scotland.
Thanks for the welcome chaps. Highlander, I'm in the Peterhead area although my missus is a Highlander as well, from Inverness originally. Got no pix of my 406 and can't post them anyhow, technology and me don't get along. LOL. It's a dark blue slightly battered looking P reg one that is easily as c...

Re: ABS problem.
Thanks guys, I won't have time now to do anything to the car before it goes in for the test. I'll explain to the guy and sort of throw myself on his mercy. I honestly thought that if you disabled the ABS that it was ok for the MOT.

ABS problem.
Hi guys, a newbie here with an ABS problem. The car is due the MOT tomorrow and the ABS light won't go off. I've taken out the ABS fuses from the engine and battery fuseboxes and the light stays on. Any ideas please? The idea was to disable the light until such time as weather/temperature/wallet wer...
