Re: alloy wheel question
I'm with you sidb, must be growin old, but I don't like these ultra-low profile tyres either.. I mean, look at Formula 1, their tyres must be at least 65-profile :) Was running my Jag X-type 2.2diesel ( 8) )on the standard 225/40 x 18 wheels it came on, but within a year had cracked 2 wheels...

Re: alloy wheel question
In short: no 1) The 406 has 4-stud wheel hubs 2) The smallest wheels factory-fitted to any 406 were 15in, and look like roller skates wheels in those arches 3) The largest wheels factory-fitted to any 406 were 16in, and are as small a wheel as you would really want to go for Fig 2..... Or looks lik...

Re: Broken road spring.... Read this!!
In answer to your post Lozz......the 406 has a cup that does not equal the diameter of the spring, only the first few turns of spring and thats the problem, many cars when the spring breaks they are still driveable, once the 406 goes so can your tyre,cv boot and abs wiring depending exactly where the b...

Re: Broken road spring.... Read this!!
I started a thread on another 406 forum a few years ago and asked for all to post their experiences......the majority of those who bothered to post almost all had their spring break whilst parked, only one or two said they had it happen whilst in motion and were at low speed. This is the only saving ...

Re: Looking after leather
You cannot condition leather, leather has a laqured finish and cannot absorb oils. They sit ontop of the leather and attract more dirt and dust. This is where I get my leather kit from... http://www.lttsolutions.net/ Confused by your comment as not all leather is coated,no expert but i'll bet you a...
