Clarion PU-1633a constant beeping when on

As title says the head unit in my 'V' reg 99 D9 has a constant beeping when switched on. When I first got this car 7 years ago there was a fault with both engine ECU and BSI. When cold, if you went downhill on overrun, the engine would run rough and the MIL would illuminate. If you stopped and switc...

Folding Memory/Heated Mirror Wiring Diagram

I'm looking for the wiring diagram for the Folding Heated/Memory Mirrors fitted to my 1999 D9 Executive Estate. The one in the Haynes manual seems to be for the non-folding type. The plug listed is a 13pin White plug, whereas the one fitted to my car is a Black 16pin item. The problem I have is that...

2.0 HDi 110 Chugging at idle

Hi, What would cause an HDi 110 to chug at idle? The other week, when I plugged up PP2000, it showed a fuel pressure coherence fault. I had a spare fuel rail with both sensor's already on it so swapped it for this one. Problem still the same, but over the last few weeks has been getting worse. The w...

A/C Repair

Does anyone know of a Peugeot Air Con Specialist in the SE London / N W Kent area? I've had the 406 in to my usual MOT Station and spent out £250 to no avail. I reckon it might be the relay in the BSI at fault, as they tell me they are getting 12V to the Compressor but there isn't enough power to pu...

Bosch Engine ECU Programming via PP2000

I have just got a newer ECU for my wifes 406 110HDi Exec Estate.
Can I program it with PP2000 so that it will work on her car? Or will it need to go to a dealers?
If PP2000 can sync it to the car, can someone put a guide on here?
Thanks in advance,
Graham.

Re: D9 2.0 HDi 110 Cruise Control Activation

I've found an ECU at a reasonable price, the codes on it are
0281010361 9641607680 EDC15C2 19 BOSCH
Do you think this will be any good for the Cruise Control?
The one on the car at the moment is a
0281010166 9636255980 EDC15C2 25 BOSCH
Cheers,
Graham.

Re: 406 aircon not working

I'm having a similar problem with the Aircon on my D9 HDi 110 Exec Estate. It has been in and out of the garage several times. There now appears to be 12V on the Compressor Feed when unplugged from compressor, but it wont cut the compressor in. If I connect the compressor direct to a 12V supply the ...

D9 2.0 HDi 110 Cruise Control Activation

Hi,
is there anyone in the SE London / NW Kent area that would be able to activate the CC on my 1999 'V' 2.0 HDi Exec Estate. All the controls and switches are fitted, just needs the ECU and/or BSI updated.
Cheers,
Graham.

Faulty Circuits

Hi, I have plugged my wifes 406 Exec Estate 2.0HDi 110 upto PP2000. I can't seem to read the Engine ECU properly. It does not produce any P???? Fault codes, though the Fault Light is on. What it says is "Circuit TL4226 Fault. Faulty Circuit". Can anyone shed any light on what this circuit is? The En...

Re: egr and engine management

Hi, I have changed the following sensors, Crank, Cam, Boost Pressure, Fuel Rail. The only ones I haven't changed are the one on the High Pressure Pump and Coolant Temp. The EML seems to be coming on more often now. When the engine is cold, if you descend a hill on over-run, the EML will come on. Whe...

Turbo change

It's probably already been answered elsewhere on here, but can a turbo on an HDi been removed with the engine still in the car?

key syncing

Does anyone know the correct procedure to re-sync the remote key on a D9 99 'V' 2.0HDi 110 Executive Estate?
Cheers,

Re: 2nd hand bsi

I have access to a bsi from a 53 plate 406 Hdi Automatic with climate but not cruise.
Will this be ok in my 'V' plate 406Hdi Manual with climate and cruise?
