Re: Hdi 110 estate for sale.

Thanks for the reminder! It'S an LX with alloys, aircon, and a nice cover for the boot space! I think the wiper is the relay as per the article on this site, seems to fit the profile, and as it's such a job to get it out i have just let it drag on. If i can work out how to put pictures on here i wil...

Hdi 110 estate for sale.

I have to sell a car due to daughter needing a smaller car to learn to drive in and mine is the one to make room. The light blue 2.0l Hdi estate with 166k on the clock. In the last 12 months I have put on a new timing belt, water pump, pulley, bottom engine mount, tie rods on front anti-roll bar, bo...

Re: Where is the block drain plug?

If you look down behind the radiator there is a drain tap there. there is one at the top as well which helps let air in and aids re-filling. Circular thing you can undo by turning the knurled knob. this helps when flushing the rad as well.

Re: LOWER ENGINE MOUNT 406 HDI

Got mine finished on Saturday. Both bottom ball joints. Got the special socket but too tight to undo so chiselled them both off, went well and new ones went back in easy with the socket so worth buying. Replaced the anti roll bar links and the front part of the exhaust with the flexi and cat (£82 qu...

Re: LOWER ENGINE MOUNT 406 HDI

hello guys. i have spent all day today doing both of my bottom ball joints and the lower mounting. The intermediate bearing was tight but the two 11mm nuts give you the problem. rotate the other end with its cam shaped head to clear your bearing edge and a few good pulls on the shaft should free it....

Re: NEW CAMBELT

Go for the solid one. replaced mine (110hdi ) when I did the belts. No problems, no extras noise and I used Jaspers bolt removal technique. I have now done three pulleys on different cars and always replaced them with the solid one. It can't fall apart! It was around £40 from my local factors (Nyanz...

Re: Very strange Question!

If they are going to prosecute you will receive an NIP (NOTICE OF INTENDED PROSECUTION) within 14 days. If you hear nothing after then you should be ok. Unless the veh is registered to someone else then they will get the NIP and that's deemed as served so they can then come after you. The registered...

Re: Bit the bullet. Timing belt, water pump etc

The spanner goes back today for my free replacement I hope!

I think now I have a wheel bearing going as I can feel a rumble that can't be the pulley now!

Thanks again.

Bit the bullet. Timing belt, water pump etc

Did the deed today! I started to get the old death rattle from the crankshaft pulley a couple of weeks ago. I have done a few timing belts in the past (Mondeo, Nissan etc) and a few Pug pulleys, but never the full monty on my own car! Using the gen from this site helped. Crank Pulley bolt was the wo...

Re: Can this be repaired? crash damage

You need to point out that they were straight swaps for the standard items, not performance enhancing. Get the spec from the manufacturer handy. They were in fact safety items. You have the right to be present when they look at the car so be pleasant and arrange to meet them. If it's at your place t...
