Re: disconnecting that naughty EGR
Many thanks Ging.....................pipe bunged!.............let's face it, if it lasts for 5 years, that'll be longer than the supply of parts (especially comm 2000units), they must be the most replaced part (apart from the tyres)

406's.........the future is bleak!!
I've loved 406 HDI's for the last 10+ years, but they are getting thin on the ground. So, where do we go in a couple of years time when we want a long lasting trouble free car for a princely sum of about £1500?.............is it a Citreon C5 estate? a Hyundai estate? a Dacia estate?

Estate tailgate don't lock
Hi gang...........the tailgate has stopped locking, I've swept the striker hole n all the bottom seal to no effect. The central locking works fine on the other doors, but the tailgate just goes thump when I close it n can be lifted back up again......any ideas?

Re: Immobiliser activated, car won't fire
Yes.............all 3 connectors and some relays are just beneath the throttle pedal. To be honest, as this is a huge achilles heel, perhaps someone could make a 'sticky' at the start of the electrical section for this and other common faults like the comm 2000. I reckon all 406 owners need to cut t...
